Many people killed in multiple bomb blast in Nigeria’s capital,Abuja. A suicide bomber in a Toyota Prado SUV drove into the THISDAY NEWSPAPER headquarters in Jabi, Abuja. The blast which occurred at about 11:08am, this morning left a part of the building in ruins, while nearby building had their windows shattered. In a twist of event, just about 50mins after the first blast, another one occurred in the LEADERSHIP NEWSPAPERS, thereby causing a little confusion among rescue workers who were still fighting hard to rescue victims of the first blast at THISDAY NEWPAPERS.
It was 100 years ago come this April 14, in 1912. The luxury ship RMS Titanic that was said to be ‘unsinkable’ hit an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southhampton, England to New York City. She then sank with over 2,000 souls on board.

Never before in American history has one state experienced as many state recalls of legislators as Wisconsin. In just the first year of office, it now appears the Wisconsin’s Governor, Scott Walker and Lieutenant Governor, Rebecca Kleefisch are headed for a certain recall election this summer. In a stunning grass roots demonstration of voter engagement, nearly 2 million petitions have been collected in just 60 days to recall Walker, Kleefisch, and four Republican Senators, including Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald of Juneau. The total necessary of signatures to recall Walker was 540,208 or 25% of all votes cast in the November 2010 election
The rallies began when Constable Michael Sanguinetti, a Toronto Police officer, suggested that to remain safe, “women should avoid dressing like sluts.”[3][4] The protest takes the form of a march, mainly by young women, where some dress in ordinary clothing and others dress provocatively, like “sluts.”
Groups and unions including the SEIU and the Refund CA Coalition held a protest in San Francisco on Sept 29 to make public their demands or their actions will be escalated in the coming months. This protest included a sit-in of Chase Bank Branch in San Francisco, that not only disrupted business, it made every person who passed them aware of their demands, “Big banks crashed our economy and destroyed our communities. Budget cuts threaten our schools, libraries, and social services. We bailed out the banks. Though not a Christian, this particular minister was touching because she seemed to exemplify all that I use to believe church should be all about.
The annual Gay Pride Parade in New York City, one of the biggest of its kind in the world, took on an air of celebration this year. The approval of same-sex marriage by the New York Senate last Friday night was the obvious theme. Marchers carried signs reading “New York Said Yes”, “Promise Kept” and “Thank You Governor Cuomo”. Andrew Cuomo, Governor of New York State, and a strong supporter of the bill, marched down Fifth Avenue along openly gay city council speaker Christine Quinn and NYC’s Mayor Michael Bloomberg, (pic 2), who in the week prior to the vote, made phone calls urging citizens to call undecided Senators

This photo was taken right after a severe storm and most likely tornado dropped quickly out of the sky. The parking lots were full of families who were at the park for softball and baseball games. The winds were so severe we thought our van was going to blow over. The hail was incredible. We had winds from the west and then they came from the east. The sound was deafening. There are dozens of snapped power-lines. Typically, the local weather guys warn about the bad storms, no warning on this and no sirens went off. One quarter of city is without power.
There was a large chemical plant fire in New Iberia, LA, approx 10 miles southeast of Lafayette, LA today. local Parish Sherriff deputy’s have blocked access to area to allow first responders access and fear of unknown toxic substances in the smoke. The videos are from Avery Island, south of the fire. subsequent videos are from Route 90 heading north to the west of the fire.
A crazy 5k race inspired by WipeOut, American Gladiators, & Double Dare. This race is called the Ridiculous Race. The first one was held in San Diego with over 6,000 participants with plans to spread across the country.
