UC Davis students occupied the quad in protest of the recent University of California tuition hikes. Peaceful student demonstrators were pepper sprayed by police as they tried to break up the ” Occupy Davis” encampment on the quad area of Memorial Union. Police brutalized students and tore their tents down.

I drove down town earlier today but was late due to the poor weather. Snow plows were busy cleaning up the slushy mess that had fallen overnight. By the time I arrived down town with my daughters the march was well on it’s way. We walked around camp and captured a few shots showing the current conditions with the snow fall. The tarp roof of the kitchen had collapsed in. There is mud and slush everywhere… and worst of all it was freezing cold! I don’t know how they are able to stick it out, but they are!

An NYPD officer repeatedly runs over the leg of a legal observer with his motorcycle. As the observer lies writhing and screaming on the ground, the cop gets off his motorcycle and proceeds to drag the man about 5 feet and then puts him under arrest with a baton to the neck. This was a peaceful protest, and then the police decided to drive motorcycles through crowds of people to keep them from marching.
