			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The public is invited to experience the Green and Gold Rush on Saturday, April 14, at Cal Poly’s Open House Campus Showcase. Open House gives admitted and current students, their supporters, alumni and the San Luis Obispo community the opportunity to visit the university during the weekend of April 12-14. This is the event’s 19th year. The Campus Showcase will begin at 9 a.m. with the Poly Royal Parade, which starts at Grand Avenue and Perimeter Road, travels north toward Via Carta and ends at Dexter Lawn. Seating is available along the route. Opening Ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. on Dexter Lawn, with a multitude of activities following. There will be a Kids’ Fair, the Cal Poly Tractor Pull, the Cal Poly Rodeo, a Rose Float Demonstration, Electrical and Computer Showcase featuring Roborodentia, and a Design Village showcase. For music lovers, the Open House Concert and All-State Music Festival Concert will be open to the public. Future Mustang athletes will enjoy the Cal Poly Dressage and Equestrian Team Showcases. And there will be a variety of informational meetings and receptions.<br />
More than 200 student clubs and organizations will offer educational and informational booths from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. These booths will also be selling a variety of food and merchandise.<br />
The event is open to all visitors. Parking is free. Tune your radio to 1610 AM for Open House traffic and parking information. In addition to enjoying the Campus Showcase event community members are encouraged to join the Open House Committee and student clubs Thursday, April 12, for the Farmers’ Market Club Preview in downtown San Luis Obispo. Friday, April 13, provides admitted students and their supporters the opportunity to meet college deans, tour the campus, and get acquainted with the resources available to Cal Poly students.</p>

Turns out that the trains are shut down except for a couple that are going through today but are far too expensive. Walking through the streets is a nightmare and every now and then you can hear firecrackers going off, and see people chaining ladders to light posts. Luckily our hostel here is letting us stay another night, and being in Madrid right now seems like a bad idea. So far here everything is looking very peaceful, but we know it can turn bad very fast.
