Kevin Mazur/Wireimage If Project Runway season four alum “almost fainted” when Meryl Streep asked him to design her Golden Globes dress, you can begin to imagine his ecstatic reaction to being tapped to design her Oscars’ gown. “I was thrilled and honored to get another call from Meryl,” Chris March tells PEOPLE.com. The always-charming designer and the Best Actress Nominee put their heads together to create the perfect, custom look for Meryl’s turn on the Academy Awards red carpet. “She was dying to wear two matching Fred Leighton Art Deco black and diamond bracelets, and wanted something white and Old Hollywood glamour to go with them. Her only requirement was a fabulously plunging neckline,” says Chris.
